first day at Australian Nationals

The first 2 races were sailed today in a good breeze of 10 to 15 knots the first one and 13 to 18 knots on the second one. The wind was quite a steady sea breeze and the races didn't show many surprises. Both races on the firs mark Simon mussel was leading most for a good start and good tactic. The first mark also was quite crowded with lots of boat in few seconds. Marcus End up winning the first race, I was second, the rest of the fleet was a couple of minutes behind with Soren 3rd followed closed by others. The second race was quite similar with a little bit more wind and I had a bit more speed compare to the others and I managed to pass Marcus on the second reach and stretched ahead on the followed upwind. At the finish the fleet was again strectched behind the 2 leaders...the overall result at: http://contenderclass.org/aus/freo2006/results.htm
